On Sunday, I had the marvelous opportunity to attend the installation and dedication of the Hummer Bell at the First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City. For me, it was the culmination of two years of work; for the story, it was the resolution for more than a century of thefts, trickery, misidentification, and historical forgetting.
